The impressive holiday decorations at the White House were shown to the public a few days ago by Jill Biden, the first lady of the USA. According to the "We the People'' concept, every area is magnificently decorated with festive elements that pay homage to American traditions. “As our country gathers for the holidays, traditions may vary, but our shared American values—a belief in possibility, optimism, and unity—endure season after season,” In a letter of welcome, Joe Biden and his wife wrote.
The light of hope and faith is symbolized by the candles, cranberries, and orchids that decorate the Red Room. The East Room, meanwhile, is covered in snow and has fireplace mantels with pictures of Shenandoah National Park, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and the Great Smoky Mountains. All 50 states and the District of Columbia's state bird ornaments were strung on an 18.5-foot Christmas tree from Auburn, Pennsylvania.
A menorah built from original White House wood that was discarded during a refurbishment in the 1950s and a gingerbread reconstruction of the White House and Independence Hall in Philadelphia are also included. Finally, the Bidens added a few special touches. For instance, the Vermeil Room features amusing paintings of the family pets, dog Commander and cat Willow, and the State Dining Room features family stockings.
This year's display features over 83,000 lights, 77 trees, and 25 wreaths in all. More than 150 volunteers worked together to create a true winter wonderland.
"We the People" is imprinted over the East Wing's entrance, which serves as this year's main theme.
The Center Hall is lined with Christmas trees as a harpist performs.
Cross Hall has Christmas trees on display.
Towers of candles and fresh cranberries may be found in the Red Chamber, also known as the "Faith and Light" room.
The East Colonnade is lined with holiday trees, handcrafted forest creatures, and illuminating lanterns.
Replicas of the dog Commander and cat Willow, pets of the first family, can be seen in the Vermeil Room.
