1989 (Fiftwiners Version): Reinventing Your Taylor Swift Inspired Home Design

Who doesn't know Taylor Swift these days? The gorgeous blonde singer has created many hit albums and got fans from the whole world. Whether or not you’re an actual Swifties, you can’t deny her albums, like Red, 1989, Reputation, Folklore, Midnights and her latest album 1989 (Taylor's Version) which was a re-recording with a new vocal version of her previous ‘1989’ album.

The ‘Blank Space’ singer didn’t only create many hit songs yet also provided a lot of inspiration through her albums. Taylor Swift-inspired fashion or makeup styles may be very common, but what if you want to design your home in a ‘Taylor Swift’ way? To celebrate the upcoming release of her new album, here are some Taylor-Swift interior design ideas:

RED

The album 'Red' is her sad album with songs like All Too Well, Sad Beautiful Tragic, Everything Has Changed, and of course the epic ‘Red’. However, using the Red interior design concept doesn't mean you have to choose a sad aesthetic. This era brings classic 1950s style; vintage aesthetics and the color red. You can use pops of bold color and high-contrast patterns, along with a mix of contemporary and antique furnishings into your home design.

1989

You can tell 1989 is highly inspired by the glamorous 80s pop scene—a  throwback to the decade of Taylor Swift's birth. Her songs like Welcome to New York, All You Had to Do Was Stay, Blank Space, and Bad Blood very much likely will inspire you to consider royal blue or mauve with some ’70s and ’80s designs on your home design.

REPUTATION

This Rep album was born out of Swift’s drama in her private and public life, also represents bold, dramatic and moody vibes. Her concerts back then were also splendid with impeccable production and state-of-the-art set design. Just like the album cover which used black and white and her song ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ will make you do some mixing of dark aesthetics into your home design.

LOVER

After a black-and-white album with dramas behind it, Taylor Swift was back with an album concept that was 180 degrees opposite. ‘Lover’ stands in romantic styles, a focus on self-love, and light pastel shades. Combine floral designs, positive artwork or posters to hang on your walls, and fairy lights to emit a romantic touch on your home design to represent Lover.

MIDNIGHTS

Though the album is named Midnights, it could also be afternoons. Midnights has the extended versions called 3 AM and Till Dawn, treating Swifties to songs that are more in line with them. On your home design, you can use dark blues with furniture accents, cozy knits, faux fur and eye-catching accents; possibly the addition of a shimmering chandelier or a metallic bar cart with crystal drinkware.

Those are some ideas for your Taylor-Swift interior design. Regardless of your favorite album era, everything is possible and we can make that happen. Check out another project designs of Fiftwin and claim your FREE design consultation with us right away!
